吊片雜菜煲
A lot of my good memories were in childhood & a lot of them were associated with good food & restaurant. Most of the time my family would dine at home & dining out would become precious. One of the dishes I always tell my friend is 吊片雜菜煲 (Mixed vegetable with squid in hot pot style) from 百德大酒楼 on Paterson Street. It is unlike those one can have in the restaurant now. It was served with sauce but not in soup. The amount of sauce was always right & the hot fried squid on top just brought up the flavour right to your nose. The sauce were absorbed with rice vermicelli & it was just 'simply irresistable'.
